Every sound in this catalogue is royalty-free. Buy it once, use it forever, in as many projects as you like, commercial or not. There is nothing further to pay, nothing to report, and no attribution required.
This page is the whole agreement. There is no separate EULA to hunt down.
Paying POST /api/sfx/:id/wav grants you a perpetual, worldwide,
non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, copy, modify and synchronise that sound in
your own work. Specifically, you may:
No attribution, credit, backlink or notice is required anywhere. If you want to credit us, we appreciate it — but it is never a condition.
The one line that matters: do not redistribute the sound as a sound.
Previews are not licensed for use. The free MP3s at
GET /api/sfx/preview/:id.mp3 are watermarked and deliberately below master
quality. They exist so you can audition. Shipping one in a finished work is not a licence, it
is a bad decision — buy the master, it is $0.02.
POST /api/sfx/:id/buy is a different transaction. It grants you everything above
exclusively: we delist that specific file, retire its generation recipe, and
never sell it again. The no-redistribution rule above does not bind you, because there is no
other buyer left to protect.
What a buyout is not: a promise that no similar sound can exist. A comparable one could be generated from a different seed, by us or by anyone else with the same model. We would rather say that plainly than sell an exclusivity we cannot enforce.
Every sound is generated, not recorded. Each one is Stable Audio output, rendered from a text prompt and a fixed seed that we keep in a build manifest, then mastered, then automatically verified against its declared acoustic intent before it is allowed into the catalogue.
That matters to you for one reason: there is no underlying recording, sample, performance or composition belonging to anyone else. No field recordings, no library content, no third-party samples, no performers. There is nothing to clear and no one who can turn up later with a claim on the source material.
Being straight about the other side of that: because these are AI-generated with no human authorship of the audio itself, copyright may not subsist in the raw sound at all in some jurisdictions — the United States being the notable one. Your rights here are contractual and they are real, but if you were expecting to own a copyright you could assert against a third party who independently generated something similar, that expectation may not survive contact with the law. Buy these for what they are: verified, measured, clearable audio you can use without asking anyone's permission.
Sounds are delivered as-is. What we do warrant is narrow and specific: each file is checked against its declared envelope and tonal intent before publication, and the acoustic metadata is measured from the rendered audio rather than typed by hand. We do not warrant that a given sound suits your project — that is what the free previews and the free metadata are for.
Our total liability for any claim relating to a sound is capped at what you paid for that sound.
You are not charged for a failed delivery. Any 4xx or server error cancels settlement before it completes, so a lost buyout race or an unavailable store costs you nothing.
This licence is versioned. The terms you bought under are the terms that apply to you, permanently — a later version cannot claw back rights in a sound you already paid for. Changes apply only to purchases made after they are published.
Bulk licensing, unusual redistribution needs, and anything you are unsure about: email contactus@sentedge.ai.
If you need sounds that are not in the catalogue, see commissions — custom sets are built to a brief against a purchase order with a fixed delivery window.
